After Knowshon Moreno‘s injury, it was expected that the Dolphins would turn to undrafted rookie running backs Orleans Darkwa and Damien Williams to help fill in behind Lamar Miller. According to recent reports, the team will also add another player to help fill that void, one who is incredibly familiar with the Dolphins.
Via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins have decided to bring back former Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas to help fill in during Moreno’s absence.
The Dolphins and Daniel Thomas have agreed on a contract for the rest of the season, agent Tony Fleming tells me.

Thomas, 26, spent the past three seasons with the Dolphins after being the team’s second round selection in 2011 out of Kansas State. He averaged 3.6 yards per carry the past three years, racking up a total of 1,312 yards and eight touchdowns.
