Cobbs Sees Improvement on Special Teams
Posted By Barry Buetel On October 26, 2010 @ 10:00 am In Football | No Comments
The Dolphins special teams unit came out flying on the opening kickoff against Pittsburgh. They knocked the ball out of Steelers returner
[1] Emmanuel Sanders hands and the Dolphins Lex Hilliard recovered on the Pittsburgh 22 yard line.
The following kickoff Sanders knelt down in the end zone for a touchback, and the proceeding one he brought out to just the 19 yard line. It appeared that the special teams unit had come out energized and ready to go against Pittsburgh.
Unfortunately, that intensity did not last the entire game, and the unit eventually yielded some lengthy
kickoff returns of 37, 27, and 48 yards that enabled the Steelers quality field position.
Patrick Cobbs met with the media to address the progression of the game on special teams. He talked about how the unit came out looking good by not only creating the turnover, but also driving them deep on opening drive starts.
