[1]The Dolphins were back at practice today as they get set for Sunday’s showdown with the Steelers at Sun Life Stadium. After practice, head coach Tony Sparano met with the media to discuss the game. With FB Lousaka Polite missing practice today with a leg injury, Sparano spoke about newcomer Deon Anderson, who is not only a special teams standout, but a good blocker who can contribute to the offense. Sparano wouldn’t offer much more on Polite’s injury, other than to say that he’d be reevaluated tomorrow. Other notes:

-With Bill Parcells having moved out of his office, Sparano said that nothing has been changed as far as the way he and Jeff Ireland operate. Sparano said that Ireland is in charge of personnel and that he’s in charge of the product on the field. Parcells moving from VP to consultant “doesn’t change my world.”

-There was much discussion about Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger and how difficult he is to get down. Sparano also warned that his arm is so big that no throws are out of range.

-When told that his career record was actually better on the road than at home, Sparano admitted to spending some time thinking about why they’ve had trouble at Sun Life Stadium, but said he has yet to draw any conclusions.

UPDATE: Here are some video highlights to see the coach talk about the NFL’s latest round of fines for helmet-to-helmet hits; about the Steelers run defense; and why he expects this to be an exceptionally physical game against Pittsburgh:
