It is hard to believe that this will be Ronnie’s 6th season with the team. I still vividly remember when he was drafted out of Auburn with that 2nd overall pick back in 2005.
I can still hear all the chatter about his Auburn teammate Cadillac Williams, and who was the better running back. People are so quick to judge.
Ronnie’s led the team in rushing his rookie season and ran for over 1,000 yards in his second. In 2007, Ronnie was leading the league in yards from scrimmage when he went down with a season-ending knee injury. He came back in 2008 and helped to introduce “The Wildcat” during a beautiful week 3 win at New England. Remember that game? Ronnie scored four touchdowns and threw another to Anthony Fasano. Last season, he started the first nine games of the season before going down with a foot injury. But, as in the past, Ronnie is back and ready to go to work.
I caught up with Ronnie today and he indicated that he is excited about the potential the Dolphins have on their roster. He mentioned that Brandon Marshall is an obvious threat in the passing game, but can also help in the run game.
