Dolphins cornerback Sean Smith came into the league last season as a second round pick out of Utah. He made an immediate impact and was inserted into the starting lineup for all sixteen games as a rookie.
This season, the play of former top pick Jason Allen has pushed Sean from the starting spot, but it hasn’t stopped him from pushing just as hard at regaining the job or playing all out in nickel, or even a little at safety.
The media caught up to Sean to talk about rumors he may be heading back out as a starter this Sunday at Cincinnati. Sean had no comment regarding that, but did say he has worked hard to compete each week. He also discussed what it will be like this Sunday when the team’s defensive backs go up against Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens.
