The Dolphins will be facing a Packers defense whose 21 sacks are one fewer than the 22 owned by the league-leading Tennessee Titans. Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews leads the way with 8.5 of the sacks, but he is battling a hamstring injury that may keep him out of the game.
Offensively, the Dolphins are 2nd overall in third down conversions while the Packers offense has had their share of problems moving the chains. Last week at Washington, Green Bay was just 2 of 13 on third down. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will try and come back from a concussion, but if he does he’ll be without his top two tight ends. Both Jermichael Finley and Donald Lee sustained injuries against the Redskins.
Former Dolphins offensive guard Keith Sims joined me for Finsiders TV to talk about the status of a few injured Dolphins, how Coach Sparano discussed the team’s success regarding lack of penalties, and how the team needs to improve their average drive starts.
