For the final time this season, we give our gameballs out to a deserving member of the Dolphins. In this season finale there weren’t a ton of standout performances, but we’ll do our best. Keep reading to see who Jimmy Cefalo, Joe Rose, Sam Madison, John Congemi, and I think should be honored for their individual efforts against the Pats…
CEFALO: Tyler Thigpen (10-of-21 for 169 yards, 1 touchdown, 0 interceptions): He played well in reserve of Chad Henne and handled himself well both as a runner and a passer.
ROSE: Marlon Moore (2 receptions, 46 yards): This was the last opportunity for the young players to impress the coaches before the off-season and this guy took advantage of it. He made a couple of nice plays in the passing game, had a good return, made a superb catch down the middle of the field, and made his claim to be in the mix next year.
MADISON: Davone Bess (3 catches for 35 yards including a 21 yard TD): He continued to show consistency and allowed the offense to avoid being shutout with his great one-handed TD catch late in the game.
CONGEMI: Davone Bess: Really the only bright spot of the game was Bess’s play, including his touchdown reception, which was the only time all day I got out of my seat while watching the Dolphins make a play.
AGLER: Kendall Langford (6 tackles, 1 QB hit, 1 forced fumble): One of the unsung heroes of a very good defense this year, Langford had a solid game up front and did something that has been really hard to do this year: caused the Patriots to turn the ball over. The Dolphins’ D-Line has been excellent this season and I am happy to tip my hat to them one final time.
