DE Seymour: Raiders Must Game Plan For Bush
By on September 13, 2012 at 3:17 pm

With Chargers running back Ryan Matthews sidelined, the Oakland Raiders, the Dolphins’ Week 2 opponent, completely stymied San Diego’s running game on Monday night, holding the Chargers to just 32 rushing yards (1.6 yards per carry).

Their next challenge should be a much tougher one.

During a conference call with the South Florida media, Raiders All-Pro defensive end Richard Seymour said that Oakland’s defense will try to shadow Reggie Bush, whom he called an “explosive player.”

“He can take it to the house from anywhere on the field, so we’ve got to get hats on him,” said Seymour, a 12-year NFL veteran. “We’ve got to hit him, even when he doesn’t have the ball. The more hats we get to him, the better it will be.

“He definitely keeps the defensive coordinator up at night.”

Before the Dolphins were forced to play from behind against Houston, Miami’s running game powered a steady start. Bush, who finished the season opener with 115 all-purpose yards, ran for 100 yards and a touchdown last season against Oakland at Sun Life Stadium.
