In preparation for the draft, the Dolphins have decided to take an extended look at McNutt.
According to Scout.com’s Aaron Wilson, Iowa’s all-time leading receiver has visited the Dolphins.
McNutt was a consistent threat for the Hawkeyes during his four-year career, but his production jumped during his senior season, catching 82 passes for 1,315 yards and 12 touchdowns.
After his impressive 2011 season, McNutt was named the Richter-Howard Wide Receiver of the Year in the Big Ten.
Perhaps strengthening a possible McNutt-to-Miami connection was the hiring of Ken O’Keefe, the Dolphins new wide receivers coach, who spent the past 13 seasons as Iowa’s offensive coordinator.
