On Monday evening, Brock Osweiler, the former Arizona State quarterback, announced on his Twitter page that he had arrived in Miami for a visit with the Dolphins.
“Just landed in Miami…excited about my visit with the Dolphins!” Osweiler tweeted.
Before heading to Miami, Osweiler worked out for a Broncos group led by John Elway and head coach John Fox, according to The Denver Post.
The Dolphins, who also recently attended Osweiler’s pro day in Tempe, Ariz., have the No. 8 overall pick in this month’s draft, but they most likely wouldn’t take the 6-foot-7 quarterback that high. He, instead, could be an option in the second or third round if they don’t take another quarterback.
The Dolphins haven’t drafted a quarterback in the first round since 1983, when they selected future Hall of Famer Dan Marino.
