Report: Dolphins Look Into Adding Backfield Depth
By on April 12, 2012 at 2:55 pm

With the departure of Lex Hilliard, the Dolphins have looked to fortify their power back rotation this off-season.

The team announced on Wednesday that it met with former Titans fullback Ahmard Hall, who has spent his entire six-year career in Tennessee. According to The Palm Beach Post’s Ben Volin, they also visited with Jeff Link, a free agent fullback from the 2011 draft class.

Link went undrafted last year after a four-year career at Robert Morris University.

If the Dolphins do add Hall or Link, he’d likely compete for time with newly added fullback Jerome Messam, who previously played for the Canadian Football League’s Edmonton Eskimos.

While there has been a considerable amount of focus on potentially selecting a quarterback in the top half of the draft, the Dolphins are also looking at options to create depth for training camp, checking in with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Matt Blanchard.

Blanchard threw for 2,852 yards and 23 touchdowns for the 2011 national champion Warhawks in 2011.

ZONK, KIICK AND MORRIS! THREESUPERBOWLS, 2 RINGS AND STILL ONLY PERFECT TEAM!!
TRADE UP…DRAFT TRENT RICHARDSON, AND WITH HIM, BUSH AND THOMAS MATT MOORE WILL GET THE JOB DONE. PLEASE MR. ROSS…….GET TRENT!!!!!!!!!!!

Trent would’ve been nice but you MUST have a QB. I don’t think Miami made a mistake by taking Tannheill.
