REPORTS: Reggie Bush Injury Not Serious

Posted By The Finsiders On September 24, 2012 @ 1:36 pm In Football | 2 Comments

[1]Late in the second quarter of Sunday’s 23-20 loss to the New York Jets, Dolphins running back Reggie Bush sustained a helmet to his left knee, forcing him to leave the game.

Though it appeared he was trying to loosen up on the sideline early in the second half, Bush, of course, could not return, raising questions of the severity of the injury. The long-term prognosis, however, appears to be positive.

Earlier today, both the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that not only did Bush avoid any serious damage, but he also may not miss any time at all.

From his personal Twitter account, Bush echoed those sentiments.

The team will not likely comment on Bush’s status for this week’s game against Arizona until the release of Wednesday’s post-practice injury report. If he’s able to practice–even in a limited capacity–it could give a good indication of whether he’s on track to play.

If he makes it back for Sunday’s game, Bush will face a Cardinals defense that’s surrendering a league-best 13.3 points per game.
