FSU cornerback Xavier Rhodes seems to makes sense to a lot of people at #12.

If you can believe it, the start of the 2013 NFL Draft is exactly one month from today.

So this seems like as good a time as any to bring you the latest predictions from around the web as to what the Dolphins will do with the 12th overall selection on the night of April 25th.

How different will these projections look as compared to Roundups 1.0 [2] and 2.0 [3] now that free agency is well underway? Keep reading to find out:

Pete Prisco, CBSSports.com: [4] Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State

With Sean Smith gone, they have find a quality cover corner in a division with Tom Brady.

Daniel Jeremiah, NFL.com: [5] Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama

The run on O-linemen continues with this selection. The Dolphins just miss out on one of the three elite offensive tackles, but Warmack is an excellent consolation prize. Wide receiver is no longer a pressing need, but Tavon Austin still might be tempting.

Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com: [6] Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State

The Dolphins boast one of the NFL’s better pass-rushers in Cameron Wake but received little pass rush opposite him from Jared Odrick. The 6-5, 302-pound Odrick might make more sense moved back inside to his more natural position, which could occur if the Werner were to slip to the Dolphins. Werner doesn’t possess the elite athleticism normally associated with a top 10 pick but is instinctive and technically sound. He also led the ACC with 13 sacks a season ago.

Matt Miller, BleacherReport.com: [7] Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington

The Miami Dolphins were one of the NFL’s most active teams in free agency, adding stars like Mike Wallace, Dannell Ellerbe and Dustin Keller to the roster. The loss of Jake Long will hurt, but the team has Jon Martin ready to play one of the tackle spots and right tackle Eric Winston visiting.

With so many needs filled through free agency, where do the Dolphins go in the draft?

The one area not filled in free agency is at cornerback, where the team lost Sean Smith. With the No. 12 pick in the draft, Jeff Ireland and Joe Philbin must look to grab the best available corner.

Desmond Trufant is game-ready, more so than any other cornerback in the 2012 class, Trufant has the speed, instincts and coverage ability to have an impact right away. He may not have Dee Milliner’s upside, but Trufant will hit the ground running.

Matt Smith, NFL.com: [8] Keenan Allen, WR, Cal

Most boards have Cordarrelle Patterson as the top-rated receiver, but there’s no chance you’re convincing me he’s better than Allen. With Mike Wallace as a deep threat, Allen can be the do-everything pass catcher who runs exceptional routes. He’ll immediately make Ryan Tannehill a better player.

Scott Wright, DraftCountdown.com: [9] Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State

It’s unlikely that Oklahoma OT Lane Johnson will make it this far so Miami may have to turn their attention elsewhere in round one. Xavier Rhodes of Florida St. offers rare size at corner and answered questions about his speed by running a 4.43 forty at the Scouting Combine. Rhodes would be a nice fit in the Dolphins scheme and could step into their starting lineup immediately. If it’s a pass rusher Miami wants the most likely options are Jarvis Jones of Georgia, Ezekiel Ansah of B.Y.U., Barkevious Mingo of L.S.U. and Bjoern Werner of Florida St.

Eric Galko, OptimumScount.com: [10] Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State

Werner belongs in the Top 5 talent-wise, and Detroit may be his most likely landing spot. But if he slips this far, the free agent-aggressive Dolphins would love to scoop up a talented, NFL ready starter to pair with Cam Wake.

Mike Florio, ProFootballTalk.com: [11] Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma

No analysis given.
