Dion-JordanJohn Congemi, the former quarterback and Finsiders analyst shares his thoughts on the shocking trade that resulted in the Miami Dolphins selecting DE Dion Jordan from Oregon with the third overall pick in the Draft:

“It seems the Miami Dolphins have taken over the offseason, now they’ve taken over the early parts of the first round of this draft by selecting Oregon’s Dion Jordan, the defensive end. Six-foot-six, 248 pounds. He’s a big, strong defensive end and he’s fluid as a pass rusher.

“He’s going to be a great compliment to Cameron Wake on the opposite side, and it’s going to give Miami a dynamic they haven’t had; they’re going to have two guys coming off of the edge and that’s going to immediately help the defense, No. 1, putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks in the AFC East. But it’s going to help this secondary because any time you can put pressure on the quarterback, especially with the young and energetic Jordan coming off the edge opposite of Wake, the Miami Dolphins defense just got a whole lot better.”
