REPORT: QB Matt Moore To Re-Sign With Dolphins

[1]The Dolphins have been extremely active just days before the start of the free agency period. After reports emerged [2] that the Dolphins had reached a deal with Brian Hartline, it now appears that quarterback Matt Moore also will also remain a Dolphin.
NFL.com’s Jeff Darlington was the first to report that Moore [3], who would have been eligible to sign with another team as early as Tuesday, will return to Miami to back up Ryan Tannehill.
Dolphins get another one done: QB Matt Moore is sticking around. He has signed a deal to stay with Miami as Tannehill’s backup, source says.

A six-year veteran, Moore appeared in two games for the Dolphins in 2012. He completed 11 of 19 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown, in relief of an injured Ryan Tannehill, to help finish off a 30-9 win over the Jets in October. After former Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne was injured in 2011, Moore stepped in and led the Dolphins to a 6-6 record down the stretch, finishing the season with 2,497 yards and 16 touchdowns. He was named the 2011 Dolphins Team MVP.
