The Dolphins currently have nine selections, a number that could change because of potential trades and because the team may be awarded a compensatory pick or two based on free agency from last year (those picks are generally announced in mid/late March). The compensatory selections are also why we don’t yet know the overall pick location in rounds four through seven.
Here, then, is the current list of picks the Dolphins have:
1st Round: #12 in round/#12 overall
2nd Round: #11/#42
2nd Round: #24/#54 (from Indianapolis as part of Vontae Davis trade)
3rd Round: #15/#77
3rd Round: #20/#82 (from Chicago as part of Brandon Marshall trade)
4th Round: #14
5th Round: #13
6th Round: No picks (pick was sent to San Francisco last April in order to move up and select RB Lamar Miller in the 4th round)
7th Round: #11
7th Round: #18 (from Dallas as part of Ryan Cook trade)
The first round of this year’s Draft will be held on Thursday night, April 25th with rounds two and three on Friday, 4/26 and rounds four through seven on Saturday, 4/27.
