The Pouncey Brothers React To Mike Wallace Signing
By on March 15, 2013 at 10:34 am

Mike Wallace, Maurkice PounceyNo current Dolphin has played an NFL game with Mike Wallace yet, but one of his new teammates probably has a pretty good idea of what his game is like.

Mike Pouncey’s brother, Maurkice, the Steelers center, played with Wallace for three seasons in Pittsburgh, seeing the receiver’s 4.3 speed up close.

After he signed, each Pouncey reacted to Wallace’s move south to Miami.

“I think the addition of Mike Wallace to the Miami Dolphins is great,” Mike said. ”He’s a great teammate from what I heard, he’s a great football from what we can all see. I think he’s going to get us to where we want to be and that’s in the playoffs.”

What was surely a much-anticipated game for the brothers when focus shifted to the 2013 schedule, now has a little extra flavor.

“It’s an awesome pick for them,” Maurkice said. “I’ve been with Mike (for) a couple of years now. The things that he brings to that offense, the things that he can do on the field and off the field, being a teammate, is great. I wish we still had him as a Pittsburgh Steeler, but, hey, we get to play them this year and hopefully he’ll get to go home and not play as good against us.”

Watch highlights of Wallace during his four seasons as a member of the Steelers.

Dolphins need to get Wallace into the game in the first quarter…..then that will open the slots for hatrline, and Miller out of the backfield.
