Three Dolphins Players Make CBS Sports NFL Top 100
By on May 14, 2013 at 8:24 pm

Cameron WakeA new influx of talent is set to enter the NFL this season after last month’s draft. But what would happen if we suspended reality and every single player was eligible to be acquired? Who are the best NFL players heading into 2013?

CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco, the longtime NFL reporter, took a shot at figuring it out , putting together a list of the 100 best players in the NFL heading into 2013 based on film study and talking to coaches and general managers, and three Dolphins — Cameron Wake, Mike Pouncey and Reshad Jones — made the cut.

Wake, who came in at No. 13, was the second-highest ranked player in the AFC East, trailing only Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (No. 5 overall).

Though he was not named to the first- or second-team All-Pro squads — Seattle’s Max Unger and Mike’s brother, Maurkice, the Steelers center were the two selections — Pouncey was the top center on Prisco’s list (No. 44 overall).

On the heels of his breakout season, Jones earned a spot on the list, one of only four safeties, checking in at No. 74.

Glad to see a cpl of our younger guys that are making names for themselves still getting this recognition. Anyone else besides me concerned though that our 13 mil/yr investment Wallace isn’t on this list?
