Wake A Leader In New “Madden” Ratings

Madden CoverWith a new football season fast approaching that means another iteration of EA Sports’ critically-acclaimed football franchise is about to hit stores. This year is the 25th anniversary of “Madden” and it features legendary Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders on the cover.

Today, the complete ratings for every team were released and several Miami Dolphins were ranked at near the top of their respective positions.

First, there is Cameron Wake, coming in at a 97 overall. The two-time All Pro defensive end ranks second out of all defensive lineman behind the Texans’  JJ Watt (99). Wake is ranked ahead of several of the league’s best, including Jets defensive tackle Muhammad Wilkerson (96) and Cowboys defensive end Demarcus Ware (94). Wake is tied with Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins.

Also, safety Reshad Jones took a huge jump from last year’s rating of a 74 overall, going all the way up to a 92 overall. Jones now is the third best safety in the game behind San Diego’s Eric Weddle and Buffalo’s Jarius Byrd (ranked 96 and 95 overall respectively), and is tied with New England’s Devin McCourty.

Other notable Dolphins player ratings include: Ryan Tannehill (81 overall), Brian Hartline (81) and Dannell Ellerbe (84 ).
