Wallace Talks Dolphins Receiving Corps
By on June 26, 2013 at 10:17 am

062613-wallace660Last season, it was Ryan Tannehill, working his way up the depth chart, who was one adjusting, quickly familiarizing himself with Brian Hartline, Davone Bess and Anthony Fasano, the team’s top returning pass-catching options.

Now, though, after a successful rookie season, and some major roster turnover, it’s the receivers that are looking to Tannehill to help smooth an offseason transition. By adding Mike Wallace, Brandon Gibson, Dustin Keller, and retaining Hartline, the Dolphins offense will have a different look this season.

Before the team headed off for its pre-training camp break, Wallace sat down with The Finsiders, for an interview that aired Wednesday, and explained why he thinks the Dolphins receiving corps will be successful in 2013.

“We all present a different type of challenge for the defense,” Wallace said. “We’re all different types of players. When you get us all together, it’s going to be fun.”

“I’ll take the top off and do some more; we have Brian (Hartline) who’s going to work the middle and do some more; we have Gib (Brandon Gibson) who’s going to work the slot and do some more; and we also have Dustin (Keller). I look at him like a receiver – the guy, he can stretch the field. I feel like he can take it 60 yards himself.”
