Caserio Blog1:30pm Update- The Dolphins have officially announced that Nick Caserio has completed an interview with the team for the open General Manager Position.

In what appears to be the final days of the Miami Dolphins search for a new general manager, a new contender for the job has emerged. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Albert Breer, Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio will interview today with the Dolphins for the vacant position.

Caserio has served as New England’s director of player personnel since 2008. He’s been with the Patriots for 13 seasons, spending 11 of them in the player personnel department. He also served as the wide receivers coach in New England in 2007, and was the director of pro personnel from 2004-2006 with the Patriots.

This interview reportedly comes while the Dolphins have already narrowed down finalists for the job, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald. Per Salguero, Caserio will have the opportunity to move into the finalists pool for the job just a day before Miami moves onto to a second round of interviews with its finalists for the position.
