After Dolphins owner Stephen Ross issued a statement last night to provide an overview of the team’s general manager search, the interview process is set to begin today. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, one of the first candidates to interview, if not the first, will be Omar Khan, the Director of Football & Business Administration for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Khan, 36, has been with the Steelers organization since 2001 after stints with the New Orleans Saints and Tulane University. Khan’s role in Pittsburgh includes being the team’s chief negotiator, strategic planning of the team’s salary cap and day-to-day management of the team’s Football Operations Department.
