REPORTS: Dolphins Sign Safety Louis Delmas
By on March 10, 2014 at 6:21 pm

DelmasWith safety Chris Clemons hitting free agency tomorrow, the Miami Dolphins apparently are wasting little time bringing in someone to potentially replace him at one of the two starting safety positions with a guy known for lowering the boom from the defensive backfield.

According to Profootballtalk.com, the Dolphins have reportedly agreed to terms with free agent safety Louis Delmas, formerly of the Detroit Lions.

Delmas is able to agree to a contract before free agency opens  tomorrow because he was cut by the Lions after the 2013 season. He started in 15 games for Detroit in 2013. The former second-round pick out of Western Michigan in 2009 made 64 combined tackles and recorded two sacks and three interceptions last season.
