Many fantasy football drafts are right around the corner, so it’s time for our fantasy guru, James Morris, to continue his 2012 Fantasy Football preview. After breaking down the quarterbacks and running backs in recent weeks, James turns his attention to the wide receiver position. Here are his wide receiver rankings based on standard (non-PPR) scoring formats::
1) Calvin Johnson: Megatron is the best WR in the NFL, and the race isn’t even close.
Despite the fact that the start of the regular season is still about five months away, yesterday’s schedule announcement was met with plenty of enthusiasm and excitement. While many things will change for the Dolphins and the 13 teams they’ll face this year between now and September, there are still some definite storylines to examine. *The Dolphins draft Mark Ingram: It seems like every mock draft out there has the Fins taking the Alabama running back.
So you remember how when you’re a kid and your mom always said things like “just because everyone else is doing it doesn’t mean you have to do it” and “if Johnny jumped off a bridge, would you?” Well, that’s kind of how I feel about mock drafts. Everyone is doing them. So I don’t really have to. But I think I kind of want to.
