Fins fans from around the country tonight got their first taste of an unbelievably up-close and intimate look at their team as “Hard Knocks, Training Camp with the Miami Dolphins” premiered and shed immediate light on not only the 2012 Dolphins but on the reality of life in the NFL.
From the moment the show began, with the introduction of wide-eyed undrafted rookie free agent Derek Dennis, who was cut even before the first practice, you could tell that viewers were going to be exposed to things that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to see and experience.
There are plenty of defensive coordinators around the NFL that can scheme against one great wide receiver and completely take him out of the game. That receiver might have a couple of catches for a few yards, but never threaten to change the complexion of the game. They feel confident that they can handle the number two receiver, the tight end, etc.
With former Steelers and Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress now out of prison, the logical question becomes “where will Plax play?” We certainly don’t have any answers today (and thanks to the labor situation, we might not for some time), but we have heard some good rumors swirling around. In order to answer this question as best we could, we spoke to several different media members who cover several different NFL teams about Burress’s future.
Rich Cimini, who has been writing about the Jets for ESPNNewYork.com joined the show today and spoke with Jesse, Troy, and Armando about Braylon Edwards’ legal trouble, Rex Ryan’s personality, and more.Dolphins.com Podcast More podcasts available on Dolphins.com
Andy Kent joined Jesse, Sam, and John to talk about the latest news in the AFC East–including Braylon Edwards’ arrest, the state of the Patriots defense, the benching of Bills QB Trent Edwards, and more.Dolphins.com Podcast More podcasts available on Dolphins.com
