It doesn’t get any easier for the Miami Dolphins this week as they travel out west to take on the San Diego Chargers on Sunday at 4:15 pm. I believe that the Dolphins played well enough to win yesterday at Cleveland, and all the numbers except the score lean in that direction. At some point, players need to make that first down on offense, or get off the field on third down on defense to define that moment in the game.
The Dolphins fell to 0-3 on the season today, as Colt McCoy and the Browns came from behind in the fourth quarter to beat the Dolphins 17-16.
McCoy’s 14-yard touchdown pass to Mohamed Massaquoi with 43 seconds left proved to be the game winner. The Dolphins got the ball back in Cleveland territory with 36 seconds left, but went four and out with three straight incompletions and a pick as they suffered a third consecutive loss to open the season.
It’s been a little confusing for many Miami Dolphins fans when trying to describe what needs to happen to get that first victory of the season. Score more points, get defensive turnovers, start faster in the first quarter! I’ve heard it all this week including the success the Dolphins have had on the road, hoping it continues in Cleveland this Sunday afternoon.
Thursdays are busy days here at Dolphins camp as everyone is in full-swing getting ready for Sunday’s game. On today’s edition of FinsidersTV, Jason Taylor discusses Browns’ QB Colt McCoy and also offers a strong opinion on how he thinks the team will play. Also, Cameron Wake doesn’t seem too worried about Madden cover boy Peyton Hillis and John Congemi gives us some tips about improving red zone productivity.
The Miami Dolphins are still looking for their first win of the season, and veteran linebacker Jason Taylor is hoping that it happens this Sunday in Cleveland. He’s not concerned about any personal stats or goals right now, but solely focused on getting into the win column. He talked today about the challenges Browns quarterback Colt McCoy gives a defense and the attitude he’s planning on taking to the City of Cleveland!
Last month, Miami Dolphins Head Coach Tony Sparano and General Manager Jeff Ireland participated in a conference call for Season Ticket Members that lasted over 30 minutes as the duo addressed numerous questions from fans. Yet, it wasn’t until the last question of the night, from a Season Ticket Member named Eric, that Sparano was asked the question that has been on the mind of fans all off-season.
