It’s a reasonable question. When a team invests the eighth overall pick in a player, fans expect him to play.
And if Miami would have selected a wide receiver or a guard or a linebacker with their first round pick, you can almost be assured that he would be all but penciled in atop the depth chart.
The start of a new season is upon us and so today we bring back one of last year’s most enjoyable (and mocked) features: the NFL Top 10. Each Tuesday, I’ll power-rank the top 10 teams in the league and explain why I’ve got ’em where I’ve got ’em. Be sure to vote in the poll at the end to let your opinion known.
The most important position in football is quarterback. You can try and argue with me about it, but I won’t change my mind. It is all about the QB. Last week, I took a look at five quarterbacks that could be on the move in the weeks ahead: Carson Palmer, Donovan McNabb, Kevin Kolb, Marc Bulger, and Tyler Thigpen.

Chris Boyle (Facebook): Once the lockout ends will the Dolphins go after a quarterback?
Jesse Agler: Absolutely. They pretty much have to just from a roster standpoint. Right now, Chad Henne is under contract. That’s it. There’s a chance (depending on what the new CBA says) that Tyler Thigpen will be back after he was tendered, but I would guess that the new rules will make him a free agent when they new league year starts.
The Redskins beat writer joined the show to discuss the latest Donovan McNabb news. Don’t miss Keim’s explanation of why former Dolphins quarterback John Beck could be very relevant in D.C. this fall.Dolphins.com Podcast More podcasts available on Dolphins.com
