The NFL teams that have the staying power to be annual contenders generally build through the draft.

Fresh off last week’s draft, Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland joined The Finsiders to talk about the incoming draft class and his confidence in the group. 

“I’ve never really been in a draft where we got so much value in the picks that we picked based on our board,” Ireland said.

With drafted players yet to take a practice rep, evaluators are already trying to determine the winners and losers of last week’s draft.

ESPN’s Todd McShay, with some reluctance, gave instant analysis on some of his standout draft classes, ranking the Dolphins’ haul fifth.

“I’m a big believer that Ryan Tannehill is going to wind up being a quarterback that’s going to start in this league and be very good,” McShay said on SportsCenter.
