After Friday night’s preseason-opening 20-7 loss to Tampa Bay, the Dolphins returned to the practice field to kick off another week of training camp.
Because of David Garrard’s knee injury, when they broke into their two-pronged version of team drills, each of the three remaining quarterbacks–Matt Moore, Ryan Tannehill and Pat Devlin–received additional reps.

Prior to tonight’s Hard Knocks premiere, the Dolphins held an unpadded practice to continue preparation for Friday’s preseason opener against Tampa Bay.
Player reaction to the first episode was mixed: Some said it will be appointment television; others, though, are opting HBO altogether.

Due to inclement weather, the Dolphins moved Monday morning’s practice into the bubble, closing it to the public.
With Friday’s preseason game against Tampa Bay approaching, the team released its first depth chart, giving a preliminary look at how the roster is taking shape. This first iteration listed David Garrard as the first-team quarterback, though a starter for the preseason opener has yet to be named.
In order to simulate some in-game situations, the Dolphins moved training camp from the team’s training facility down to Sun Life Stadium, hosting an intra-squad scrimmage open to fans.
The preseason schedule is rapidly approaching, so the coaching staff opted to have a “dry run,” allowing the most contact that’s been seen during camp.

With the defense applying some additional pressure, there was a new wrinkle during team drills: Ryan Tannehill took his first snaps with the first-team offense.
If it is truly to be a three-way competition, it’s been a matter of when not if Tannehill would run with the 1′s, and Thursday turned out to be the day.

Tuesday will be a day of rest for the Miami Dolphins players and after the first four days of training camp, it well deserved!
First-time Head Coach Joe Philbin has definitely changed the way this team moves on the practice field and most noticeable difference is the amount of team repetitions that have taken place.
All four days have been crisp for the most part with both sides of the football showing signs that this team doesn’t believe the national perception of having a middle of the road season!
When Ryan Tannehill arrived for his first training camp practice, he said he that he still felt that he was in the team’s open quarterback competition.
Following Monday morning’s practice – Tannehill’s second since returning – Jesse Agler caught up with the rookie quarterback to talk about his reinsertion into the fold.
As the final details of his contract were being ironed out by Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland and his agent, Pat Dye, Tannehill was “itching” to hit the field.
