Day 1:
On this morning after the Dolphins 13-10 loss to the Browns, coach Tony Sparano met with the media to continue to dissect the aftermath. There were plenty of interesting topics discussed, including the decision to not dress Brandon Marshall for the game. Sparano said that it was 100% his call and that Marshall tried “real hard” to get into the game, but Sparano did not want to risk further injury.
It didn’t have to be pretty, it didn’t have to be easy, but it did have to happen: the Dolphins needed to beat the Browns today at Sun Life Stadium. They did not. The Browns came to South Florida and left with a three-point win after a wild final two minutes ended with Browns’ kicker Phil Dawson kicking a game-winning 24-yard field goal.
