
Two things are always paramount when your talking about the defensive line for the Miami Dolphins: your numbers against the run and how may times you can either sack or pressure the opposing quarterback. The run defense in 2011 was stellar, holding opponents to 95.6 yards per game, which ranked third in the NFL. The Dolphins were also third in the league holding teams to 3.71 yards per carry!
The former All-Pro wide receiver and current NFL Network analyst calls in to the show to give his thoughts on the Dolphins and what direction the team might go with the 8th overall selection in the 2012 draft. Moments before the start of the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Mike Pouncey stepped up to the podium inside the Media War Room sporting a Miami Dolphins ballcap. The team’s first-round pick (15th overall) on Thursday night was smiling throughout his second session with the South Florida media and let down his guard a little as the questions continued.
