With the all-important third preseason game just two days away, the Dolphins treated Wednesday’s practice as if it were the final practice of a regular season game week–the entire unpadded practice took place in the practice bubble.
Due to Artis Hicks’ health and Eric Steinbach’s retirement, RG John Jerry continued working with the first team and looks to be in line for a start on Friday night.
On Wednesday, the Dolphins held their final practice open to the fans and media, marking the unofficial end of training camp.
The team will travel to Carolina tomorrow ahead of Friday night’s preseason game.

With less than a month remaining until training camp, the “Hard Knocks” crew has already started filming, completing a few dry runs at last week’s mini-camp.
Thus far, in his limited time around the team, Gehring has been drawn to Joe Phibin, whom he described as being “magnetic.”
“When you’re around him, you’re kind of like, OK, this is a guy who can turn this thing around,” said Gehring, who previously directed “Hard Knocks” in 2007 and 2008.
